Ryan received his B.A. from James Madison University in Virginia and his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he competed as a member of the school’s National Trial Competition team. Before attending law school, Ryan served as a Peace Corps health volunteer in a rural farming village in Panama, where he upgraded the village’s potable water system, installed composting latrines, and taught English.
